    Another rebranded Turkish rifle.

      @bigdansairguns83 День назад

      To be fair Turkish rifles are pretty superb today. I'd also argue that it just being "rebranded" is a bit harsh considering there's some pretty vital design differences between this and the ATA. The ATA for instance doesn't have the short stroked cocking system (note the lack of the housing at the rear of the block) and the block itself is also different.

      @@lancelongfield5550 Not quite, if you take a look at the Gen 2 the block is different between this and the ATA. The Eagle for instance has the rear housing to accommodate the short stroke cocking system and the stock is also wildly different. It's built off of an Airborne I'd guess but it's definitely not the same gun with a different logo.

  • @user-zn4xn8kt6y

      Hey Baz! Despite the looks the Eagle is an almost completely different rifle compared to the Airborne. It's lighter, has a shorter barrel, a totally different stock, a totally different block/action and a different trigger mechanism. The only similarity is that it shares the same mag. In general it's a more refined rifle to the Airborne, if you put pictures of the rifles side by side you can see there's quite a few differences.

      @@alanmorris8783 Hahaha it's a nice gun to be fair but again it isn't a 1:1 to the Gen 2 Airborne. As mentioned the stock is different, the block is different and if you look at the rear of the block the ATA doesn't have the housing for the short stroke system. Put pics of both side to side and you'll see the differences.

      Hi Chris. I'm not a bottle man I must admit and if they could make a cylinder fed Eagle I know which one I'd take. That said as bottle rifles go I don't find this to be one of the better looking ones by a long shot.

    Hey Dan, I know you have shot a lot of these Cometa rifles, quick question please. Does the suppressor on the USC version make much difference compared to the long barrel unsuppressed version as far as noise? Usually suppressors do not do much for sound reduction with springers so I am curious as I am getting ready to buy an FAC 400 and trying to decide on which version. Thanks!! Love your videos.

    I found that if you push the pellets forward when you load the magazine, you lose most of the creep

    As for the little togel in front of the trigger personally I think they are less safe than a button that you press from side to side, if you pull back on the little toggle there's more chance of your finger hitting the trigger and making it go off , whereas you can't set the trigger of pushing a button side to side , just my opinion, 😁👍

    It does have adjustable windage. You adjust the FRONT sight, not the rear. The front sight is mounted in a dovetail and can be easily tapped left or right using a small drift and little hammer. Just remember though, since it's the front sight, it moves opposite of what a rear sight would. So to shoot more left, tap it right, and tap it left to shoot more to the right. It is VERY old school stuff. But really interesting though, I have one and really enjoy it.

    one of.my favourite rifles is maUser 99. still arround. designed in 1898. These companies keep redesigning but as you say , sometimes old is better. This pcp is fantastic and simple. Like a good old bicicle.

      I won't mention names for fear of legal difficulties but when it comes to buying twice I don't think it's the cheap rifles where this applies.......

    I had a Webley Vulcan (named Spok) back in the day. It had "after market" spring and other "improvements." Squeezing every last drop of performance from the rifle. It gave a chromo reading of 20ft/lb but needed lots of TLC to keep it performing at it's best. Brutal cocking and spring kick. After a days shooting you knew about it! That said, long range rat, rabbit and pigeon killer supreme. Foxes too.

    The extension that looks like a magazine is for people who's arms are short. If you are shooting sitting, kneeling or standing it enables you to reach the fore stock with your hand if you want your non-firing elbow resting on your knee or against your torso if standing. I have also accomplished this by placing a brick under my heel to raise my knee. The same sort of thing is on my Diana 470th and 56th just forward of the trigger guard. You'll see it on other rifles. They are removeable and/or adjustable on 10 meter target rifles. Try RWS Miesterkugeln wadcutters to stop the shot gunning.
